Morten Bergsmo
Legal Adviser, Office of the Prosecutor, ICTY (1994-2002)
Morten Bergsmo is the Director of the Centre for International Law Research and Policy (CILRAP). He was a legal adviser for the Commission of Experts for the former Yugoslavia in 1993-94; a Legal Adviser in the Office of the Prosecutor of the ICTY 1994-2002, and represented it during the International Criminal Court (ICC) negotiations. He served as the first Senior Legal Adviser and Chief of the Legal Advisory Section of the ICC Office of the Prosecutor 2002-2005. He subsequently worked as an academic at leading academic institutions in China, Europe and North America.
